2021 NBA Mock Draft 1.0

Sorry for the long absence! But, Let's Talk Sports is back now and I've got some great content ideas coming out. Although I will be away for most of the Summer, I will be coming back strong in August with the constant content that you guys want.

With that being said, here is my first NBA mock draft for the 2021 class. Please note that all players who have not made a decision between the draft and returning to college yet will be included in the player pool. Also, I will not be including any trades not made by 6/22 and will not do any mock trades. But without further ado, here is Let's Talk Sports' 2021 mock draft 1.0!

The players selected in the lottery portion are just a sample of the deep class this year's player pool has. However, one thing of note within the pool is the heavy imbalance of guards/wingers and big men. Guards and/or wingers make up four of the top five picks, eight of the top ten picks, and ten of the fourteen lottery picks. While many teams within the lottery have solid big men already like the Cavaliers, Pelicans, and Pacers, other teams that do not have a solid power forward or center such as the Magic and the Warriors will either have to trade up or back, or take someone at a different position.

1st Overall Pick- Detroit Pistons select Cade Cunningham, PG, Oklahoma State

12th Overall Pick- San Antonio Spurs select Alperen Sengun, C, Turkey

13th Overall Pick- Indiana Pacers select Franz Wagner, SF, Michigan

14th Overall Pick- Golden State Warriors select Josh Giddey, SG, Australia

While the lottery portion of the draft features a few international and G-League Ignite prospects, the second half of the draft has some of the NCAA's best stars. Sharpshooter Corey Kispert and lockdown defender Davion Mitchell are steals in the middle of the first round, and all-around point guard Ayo Dosumnu is an intriguing prospect that a team can develop into a future star.
